Way back in the 1700’s a taxation was imposed on malted barley , Irish Whiskey makers started to blend barley with other grain to avoid or at least reduce the tax bill! Original blending used 70% malted barely and 30% grain … over time blending has evolved and oftentimes more and more grain is added reducing the quantity of the premium malted barely in the whiskey.
IrishAmerican Classic blend follows traditional blending using – 70% malted barley (rather than using more of the much cheaper grain). The blend is double distilled in copper pot stills (no need for triple distillation with such high quality ingredients) is non- chill filtered for maximum flavour and matured in first fill ex American bourbon casks to ensure real smoothness. Our expert master distiller blends in a little 10 year Old Single Malt, to make it really special. This is why our IrishAmerican Classic blend is such a premium tasting product, it is a rich & vibrant whiskey, aromatic with a hint of spices. It truly is Original Irish Whiskey.

Our whiskey is double distilled in copper pot stills and matured in first fill ex American bourbon casks. It is non chill filtered. The Bordeaux cask finish adds beautiful flavous to this Achill Island Single Malt. Sultanas and soft summer fruits with raspberry tang and juicy strawberry as well as some gentle vanilla chai spice.On the nose there is gentle floral wafts of vanilla and crème caramel.
The Cinnamon and red fruit notes continue and is this is balanced with a medium to long creamy finish.

Inspired by the boglands of Achill this Peated Irish Whiskey is a smooth single Malt with a delicate smokiness and a sweet taste.

This Single Pot Still Whiskey has been aged in Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks. The whiskey has a smooth mouthfeel followed by Pot Still spices and a subtle mix of fruit, with a light sweet finish.
A limited release of only 1,000 bottles, non-chill filtered and bottled at 47%ABV. The bottle comes beautifully packaged in a luxurious wooden box.
